bought the senn hd650 and the pan am/gateway combo. all after initially just planning to go heir audio 4ai with a simple Fiio dac/amp.

Nice, congrats! It's a sweet sounding combo. I'd consider looking into headphile.com for a sweet sounding cable to go with that. The 650's truly deserves a cable upgrade when you feed them like you plan to IMO. At least the difference blew me away, more than any other cable upgrade I have ever made. Enjoyable times are coming your way!

Natalia, just get her the Beats.

Many headphones in the price range are better, but Beats are what kids want these days.
It's similar to her wanting an iPod and you got her a Zune, a North Face Denali and you got her an EMS brand fleece, etc.
Beats are an image thing for kids and getting her anything else will leave her disappointed. I'm 100% certain of this.

Thanks.

Yeh I already started researching new cables. Both headphone cables and a high grade USB cable for the dac. I need a 6 foot usb, so the Alo usb cable was a no go.
But at the same time I'm also planning to get the LCD-2 in a month or two, and the 4ai still, if it comes down in price for Christmas.
Basically still have another $2k in possible gear to buy.

Jeez, I got sucked into this so quickly after just owning RE0s unamped along with TF10s I never used.

Nah. They may be better than the 4ai, but I'm not sure theyre three times better.
But its a possibility if I seriously get into this and start to pursue the best possible sound.

It's not three times better, but still they are more worth their cost. The best always is....
