Bro, I know DYNAMIC DRIVERs love High Voltage Amplification but this might be too much.
I know I know. Just wanted to see if he would take the bait 😂

You never know until you try 😅

But yea, not a good idea on OTLs. SET amps might work well though.
I’m getting a powerful SS amp with enough juice for any iem/hp available
Now I don’t have to worry about power and synergy

Got the Cayin IHA6 to drive the Hifiman HE6SE V1, hope this amp would be sufficient to feed the power that HE6 demands

Oh yea!! I have the V2 version and running it out of Auralic Taurus MK2 and it gobbles up most of the 7W of pure class A power like it’s nothing. IHA6 should have decent amount of power to drive it and the synergy is good too actually. But I’m considering getting a decent speaker amp to drive the HE6SE and hoping it would serve well if and when I get the Tungsten.

Bro,
that was my initial thought too of getting a speaker amp and the speaker taps but I watched too many reviews and read that IHA6 was indeed made with HE6 in mind, watch the headphones.com video of the HE6 comparison for context. Maybe on paper it has lesser power but due to high current and pure class A, it has great synergy with the planar and specifically HE6.

IHA6 is definitely a good amp for HE6. From what I can recollect, it has a current gain switch as well.

Yes, that’s correct, it’s delivered at home and I’m in different city for office work, can’t wait to go back home on weekend

Can you do one thing ,
plug Dynaquattro into this amp and reply with the results

For me personally -
Each upgrade in the amp is showing improvements with Dynaquattro, I want to know where it ends.
