Not really but it is inefficient to a point where it can take power from speaker amps as well and not break a sweat. But if you do connect it to a headphone amp that has more current drive, it should work well. I'm currently using it with Auralic Taurus MK2 and Violectric V590 V2 and it sounds brilliant.
You should get a speaker amp now since you're eyeing tungsten. I would help you reduce the burden of V590
Speaker amp for HE6SE is a thing, most of the HE6 owners would attest it, but with IHA6, I wouldn't go past 12 O clock on High Gain + High Current mode.

IMO modern powerful headphones amps are enough for any headphones in the market, speaker amp to use headphones is just over compensation in this day and age.

nowadays, things have changed for sure, but the numbers on paper doesn't really tell the true story, most of the time the power mentioned is not linear.
I appreciate if manufacturers start mentioning power, amp biasness etc

Hello, has anyone had a problem with a loose plug in their Dynaquattro unit?
The original cable has an average hold, but any other 0.78mm cable is very loose and does not hold well.
Didn’t try with any aftermarket cable, the stock cable was good

I had no problems with my Dynaquattro changing cables. I've tried with 3 Penon cables and all of them sit tight. Yours might have QC issues.

TheToneDeafMonk on YT describes the character of the DQ sound very well. I had Simgot SM4, Estrella, KE4. DQ has a very good vocal timbre. They prefer more female vocals, male vocals are slightly less prominent. In DQ there is a bright treble but there is no sibilance, there is no BA and PZT bloom. The sound of DD is very organic and smooth. Listens well at low and high volume levels.

It just got posted on Facebook.
Looks like , Topographical Map

I don't have High Hopes but this IEM should be named - Mazurka. ( Considering the history and Depth of the word related to Fredric Chopin)
