The attached picture is your set and has the same serial as that from the aliexpress sample? Then most probably yours is a counterfeit, the beyerdynamic logo is off aligned as well.

Xelento 2 has beed delivered today. Making some comparisons vs u12t but first impressions after around 2h are surprisingly positive. They are nowhere near the OG version. The tuning is waay more balanced, almost neutral, with fantastic smooth, non fatiguing but extended and very detailed heights. Also the bass is more controlled but still has this typical Xelento power.
I'm actually shocked how good they sound.
Short impressions as i dont like to write an extended reviews:
1. Stage.
The u12t seem very very slightly wider and deeper but not by much really. All this is getting burried by cohesion and timbre.
2. Dynamics.
The Xelentos are slightly more dynamic and "alive" with more pronounced differences between lower and higher pitched notes.
3. Bass.
No comparison. The Xelento 2 are going definitely deeper and are more euphonic down low. U12t seem slightly anemic in this area.
4. Mids.
Quite similar i would say. Both arent too into my face but not too distant either. There is some intimate feeling with both but there is bit more intimacy with the Xelento (not by much).
3. Trebles
HERE is the area where im mostly surprised.
The u12t seem to have holes in upper midrange and trebles. I can sense some unevenness, especially when playing the music louder. Slight harshness i would call it.
The Xelentos 2 are buttery smooth. There is a very very slight peek around 8k (maybe?) but so minor that i dont pay any attenion to it. It doesnt interfere in any replay, no matter if its jazz or k-pop.
4. Detail.
Wow. The Xelentos seem even slightly more revieling but keeping every detail at bay, so there is no any artificial "detail" boost or anything like that. Its just an effortless, smooth detail in the beckground. The u12t arent as even up on top, so there are some unevenness. There is some harshness here.
5. Layering.
U12t wins here. There is more noticeable "space" between vocals/instruments that play closer/further on a stage but the Xelentos do this quite nicely too. The Xelentos are more fluid when it comes to the note cohesion.
6. Timbre.
Xelentos all the way. Single DD seems to blend everything more naturally, with more fluidity. The u12t seem more mechanic here.
The Xelento 2 sound like a dream, the u12t are going for sale. Im actually shocked!
A small correction: Xelentos seem to have slightly more expansive stage-right/left, at least with Metallica, Opeth and some other metall, haeavymetall, deathmetall genres.
Another correction: the Xelentos have definitely wider stage than the u12t.
The stage is huge. U12t have smaller apparent sound sources so it seemed that the stage on the u12t was larger but is definitely narrower and more closed. I can hear that the stage on the u12t closes just around my ears.
Xelentos have huge stage right/left which seems without specific boundaries.

Its a completely different iem. The first edition was a typical V-shaped, fun sounding earphone.
The 2 edition is a neutral, balanced iem. The bass doesnt seem to play the main role for me. Its the mids, higher mids and trebles. Its beautifully balanced, even and neutral across the midrange and trebles.
I have the OG Xelentos but they are very different. The OG version wasnt a serious competition for the Monarch 2 or the u12t.
The Xelentos 2 actually beat them all for me. I already spread the info about selling my u12t. They are very similar but the Xelentos 2 give even bigger stage, bass and smoother trebles.
Firstly i thought that the Xelentos 2 will be a complementary set for me. But they are a balanced and neutral iem so ive decided to sell the u12t.
