Beyerdynamic Xelento!

My Xelento with reterminated final audio cable to Pentaconn OFC 4.4mm plug.

Wouldn't the stiff Final cable kills all the unprecedented wearing comfort the Xelento provides? :triportsad:
I like mine. Not the best in terms of SQ among cables. Nor is the Xelento the best in terms of SQ among iems. But the comfort plays a huge part for me personally.

Thanks, not really, the cable is more stiffer than the out of box one, but still comfortable to wear over the ears on it own or using the ear hooks that is supplied.

Hey, have any of you fellow Xelento-philes figured out how to order replacement tips from Beyerdynamic? I still prefer the sound of their foamies over any of the other (dozens! at this point) tips that I’ve tried.

@Dobrescu George hello mate. I'm an ie800 user was thinking to upgrade to xelento.
I also have RHA t20i and shure se535. I love the instrument separation and tonality of t20i. Shure se 535 is the worst I have ever heard. But when my friends hear them they totally oppose me. Don't know what they like in shure sound. Purchasing the shure se535 was my big mistake. My frustration made me purchase ie800 and boy I was just stunned hearing them and till today it amazes me. It can go almost to full volume with almost sources apart from my chord mojo. But still they reach that level no else tends to.
Since two months I'm reading reviews but can't get to the conclusion.

If you dislike SE535, you might not like Xelento's relaxed and romantic approach, and you might prefer an ultra-clear, bright and energetic signature like ie800.

From ie800, you can always upgrade to ie800S, HiFiMAN RE2000, or maybe something from Unique Melody, but Martian has less bass amounts, so you might not like them best either. Hard to say what can be an improvement over ie800, my friend. Maybe ie800S and RE2000 are your best bets, although RE2000 doesn't have that specific softer-edge-yet-enhanced treble of ie800, while ie800S, I haven't tested ie800, but I will hear them soon, and I'll be able to tell then.

At any rate, Xelento is not a direct upgrade from ie800, it has a very different signature. I think that people who really loved SE535 will love Xelento, or people who have SE846 might love Xelento, and people who like Audeze will like Xelento, but people who like ie800 are into the treble and V-shaped signature, which Xelento is not really.

Thank you for the suggestion. In my sense se535 doesn't have that feel of dynamic sound. In my country I don't have many options only few high end IEM are available and no demo available for any of them.
The option for me were Roxanne, xelento and Kaiser encore. Other products from this manufacturers were out of stock. I forgot to mention Dita audio dream but again out of stock.

Really hard to say, I have not heard Roxanne or Kaiser, so no idea

At any rate, if you don't really feel your current se535, ie800 might be a good turn of events.

I've read some say on these boards that the W60 is nothing special, which I think is unfair, as to me they sound fantastic - non fatiguing and never sibilant, and I can't even feel that they're in my ears. Could someone give a brief summary of these compared to the Xelento's.

Based on very short listening impressions, I'd say that they are more or less similar, with Xelento being a bit more forward in the midrange, and with Xelento having a larger bass, although the listening was not done side by side or for the same song, so I might be wrong, but the general signature shouldn't be all that different.

I'm happy with the bass W60 produces, much better than 535's imo. Beyer headphones have always impressed me , even the T90's which could be sibilant, I'm very interested to hear their iem.
