Mine cost me approximate HKD5880 for the wired version, got it back in January. If you can still find the wired version similar priced, it's cheap, it all depends if you want the in line remote, China is selling it for about RMB680 each, and the remote version, you get a better leather case.

Also the faceplate is slightly different.

Well there is no more wired version in Hong Kong,
today i went to those retailers who said they have it and, nope,
not the wired version. Those are the remote version.
I think it is impossible to find wired version in Hong Kong now.
Also because beyerdynamic doesn't produce that anymore,
so I cannot order it as well.
Guess i'll buy the remote version then.

I think they also fixed the loose cable problem so I better get the remote one

There are wired version available, you just have to look around, and price is the main factor for it.

Which shop did you go to.

just an update: more often than not, I am finding reading while wearing there iem's difficult as the sound can be quite captivating. Beautiful bass; lovely pianos, strings and horns; clear yet musical vocals. Soundstage and layering improving over the hours, as well -- something notably lacking for me upon first listen when new.

Definite keepers.

I agree, it is quite complicated to focus on doing something else as the music is so nice that it just steals your attention.

Is there something wrong with my mic cable for the xelento? The mic barely pics up my voice, I literally have to turn it and hold it almost against my mouth to pick up my voice and even then it sounds pretty bad. Is it defective?

I'm in the market for a new iem and this one caught my eye.

A lot of things said here appeal to me but I've discovered I do like my treble especially with everything electronic (trance, goa, electronic music), film music but even commercial stuff and live orchestras and classical.

For comparison, I have an 8.2 which signature I did not like, I don't mind warmth but I would like better extended highs compared.

I have a Chord Mojo and a neutral Vorzuge Vorzamp Pure II since I will mainly use them at home.

Would these be anything for me?

There is no way for me to listen to them without buying although Thomann will accept them back after a 30 day paying trial.

Have you tried it with a different smartphone? Just to be sure it's not an issue with a poor headphone jack connection. If it's still the same, I would contact their support to get a replacement.
