Beyerdynamic T1 - Completely Unimpressed

The T1 are 600ohms. A difficult load, for any headphone amplifier, relatively speaking.
Simply, the Mojo just isn't up to it. I used my T1 Gen 1's with my Chord Hugo, and I too was singularly unimpressed. Try the T1's with a decent headphone amplifier, and you start to see what all the fuss is about.
Even saying that, the T1's require time to appreciate them. They are wonderful cans, given time and attention.

I tried it with the Joutenheim and I am pretty sure it can drive 600ohm with plenty of power, still walked away unimpressed compare to HD800S. If someone is telling me Joutenheim is not powerful enough for the T1 then I am not even going to bother to get an AMP that will be good enough for the T1. At the end of the day, sound is very subjective thing and for me T1 just didn't cut it.

The T1 is not just fairly hard to drive but it's also quite picky of the system, it's really a synergy defendant headphone like the original HD 800. But honestly I prefer the sound of the HD 800S to the T1 myself.
