I've just bought a Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 80 ohm headphone, and it appears to me that the earpad is not as soft on this model than as on the dt990 pro 250ohm. The outside texture is the same, but the filling foam seems to be firmer.

Is it possible that they put different earpads on the dt770 than on the dt990? Because in case there is a chance that I would get the dt770 with the softer earpads, the one that was on the dt990 I tried in the store, I would return it and try to buy it at another shop, maybe there it comes with the softer one.

The DT770 (EDT-770 V pads) does comes with different pads then the DT880 & DT990 (EDT-990 V pads).
