Truth is that not too many people have their hands on a pair at the moment, meaning impressions, especially regarding sound, are going to be a bit thin on the ground at the moment.

I really need more time with them before I can say anything for sure, that I might not change, after listening a week or two more. It just takes time to be sure and it takes time for me to start noticing details. But changing between DT-1770(velour pads) and DT-1990 they are much alike in many ways.

how about sound stage? are they spiky in the highs like the T1?

DT 1990 Pro vs HD650? Both are open, both are high ohms hp ( 250-300), which soundstage is wider and does it scale with better components?

I found the DT1770 there last year. placed my order on my way home from Berlin. Did the booth again suffer from the Yamaha surround demo right next to it?
