Hey, is an amp necessary for them?
Source is a phone, HTC one x.
Are they good for bassheads? I'm looking for a "Thud" as I listen to DnB and dubstep a lot.
Is there anything better under 200?

Still need to know how well they operate without an AMP/DAC or I should get something else instead

they do operate without and external amp, just not as well as they operate with one. they are very good for dnb and dubstep imo, but theyr far from being bass monsters, if your up for some eqing though, you can make earthquakes with them.
 
other bass heavy cans under 200$? theres like 1000 options, use the search option and check out the recommendation thread. try lurking around a bit before posting threads, your asking questions that have been answered a thousand times before.

250, 80 or 32 ohms? Or is it the regular one?

Yes, they will work with the phone just not as well without an amp like adamlr said.
