I cant make up my mind about which one to get for a friend. She will primarily use it for casual listening on a computer as well as gaming. Any suggestions? Price is no object.

I'm pretty sure the dt250-80 is much better in terms of sound quality and possibly isolation even though they cost more. If you have the $$, I would recommend the 250-80 as they are liked here.

They also look very comfortable!

well, it might be overkill, but the 250-80s should blow away the HD-280s sonically. I don't know whether the Beyer really needs an amp tho...

Personally, I did not find the HD-280s to be comfortable. Too much like a vice clamping down on my head (which i think is small, at least not too large). I also wasnt impressed with their sound, and preferred my HP890s to the HD-280s.

HTH.

Wish I had friends like you...wow.
