Dear all,
I have to make a decision to choose a “not too big” tube amp for my HD650's, and this are the options I have found in this price range:

 1. Little Dot MkIV SE            $399
 2. Little Country III               $447
 3. La Figaro 332C                 $399
 4. Mei Xing MC84-C07         $300
 5. Mei Xing MC-66-AE         $371

You all love the LD, so it it is my first option so far. But I have the possibility of buying the Little Country in a shop here in Thailand, and I like the small size. Has anyone compared the Little Dot with the Little Country?

EDIT:
I add the worth to consider Earmax clone: SENSE G3-T7    $169

Anything in the cheaper $200 or so range you guys would recommend? Rather broke but looking for my first tube amp. Is China / overseas the only place to get anything good for the price?

I found some of these little tube guys. Are any of them worth it? Thes two look really affordable and basic which is a plus. Looks like the indeed can use more tubes. Lots of good reviews.

This one looks really good, with a 2 year warranty. Parts choices look good. Not from China though which I support. Heck they are sorta local to me which has my interest. Reviews are good in the listing.

This one looks really, really good on the outside. The circuit board photos do not look so good though but I guess it does not matter if it sounds good.

This one looks like they put the parts on the board by throwing them at it. So if that was their best effort for a photo, would hate to see what a Joe Dirt like me would get. Again, guess it would not matter if it sounds good

"Overseas" - depends on where you are... :)

I guess this is off-topic with the original subject but since the question was asked...

I picked up a Fournier DAC-2 amplifier/DAC from linear_designs on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/linear_designs/m.html  They are in North Carolina, USA.

They offer two versions of their tube amp without DAC for < $200 as well. You can find a review of one of them here on Head-Fi: http://www.head-fi.org/t/494832/review-fournier-hta-1-hybrid-tube-amp-excellent-budget-amp

I've had the DAC-2 now for about a month and used it with some Sennheiser HD580's and Grado SR125's. I'm quite happy with the sound. It's quiet and clean and drives the phones much better than the headphone output on my old Dell box at work. The build quality seems good, I'm quite happy with it.
