I think the PHENIX G3 is an excellent hp amp from ebay.

I also saw the G3 T7 version do you maybe know whats the difference?

Thanks!!!

The G3 uses three 6dj8 tubes whilst the G3-T7 uses two 6dj8's and one 12AT7.

Sonically I cant say what the difference is as I have only heard the T7, but I do find it laid back and smooth, from what I have read the G3 might have more detail than the T7.

I've heard good things about the Little Dot and Darkvoice amplifiers.

to the OP : Best price is ALWAYS subjective. But from a sonic standpoint, I nominate

Little Dot - solid support and customer service - LD III, IV and VI

Darkvoice - great sound. support has dwindled last i heard. 336, 332,3322, 337

Meixing - another nice sounder. But we don't hear much about it here so not a lot of feedback on supportability.

Yaqin supplies the amp to France and Canada at a much higher price. Those amps have a pretty reviews already. If you are not shopping for headphone only, Yaqin is not a bad amp to try out.

"Yuking09" is the original designer of the 337, and he's still active on this forum. He's currently trying to help someone out with a 337 problem in a separate thread.

Bought my Ming Da MC84-07 off ebay and shipped from China. Very frequent and timely communication but understanding what is being said is difficult due to the language barrier. You can find threads floating around about my particular unit. There was a minor volume pot issue. The seller sent a replacement volume pot and all I have to do is have it soldered in. But, nothing that can't be worked around with a gain adjustment.

Love mine to death. I've got all sorts of headphones flowing through that thing and they all sound wonderful. The lower impedance cans (anything lower than 80 ohms) you will hear alittle hiss on quiet pieces but really nothing that bothers me and hasn't stopped me from continuing to buy low impedance cans.

If you go with one of these, make sure to purchase some NOS german, american, etc. tubes. Makes a remarkable difference.
