Ok, I was going to get some new CX300s, lower end JVCs, or JBL reference 220s because my old CX300s recently broke (after only 3 months use =/), but now I think I want something that will last me a bit longer and sound better. Basically, I will be:
1) Using them in the gym to listen to mostly alternative and some electronica
2) Using them on trips/whenever to watch movies on my ZVM
My budget is about 50$. I need isolation and I liked the bass on my CX300s.
What are the best IEMS I can get for my budget?
Thanks.

Which is best in terms of sound and build quality: the super.fi 3s, metro.fis, or the iM716?
Basically, I want good IEMs that will last for as cheap as possible.
I got 45$ in BB giftcards for Christmas so I'm interested in the FX66s that they have for 30$.
However, the Superfi 3s or Metrofi 2s seem like they are far superior.
So my question is, should I spend the extra 20-30$ and just get myself some Ultimate Ear IEMS, or should I just run to Bestbuy and pick up the FX66s?

Thanks

I just checked out bestbuy's selection of iem and I must say, it is quite poor especially at $45~. I suggest you save the $45 and buy something when its on sale and grab yourself a pair of super fi 3s at another retailer.

I wanted to recommend the x3i's by crossroads (Sold by jabennetworks) but I don't think they will last long if they are not carefully dealt with. The construction is sub par but SQ is comparable IEMs priced at 2x or 3x.

I bought UE's over other IEMs because you can purchase replacement cables when the fray and break.

If you are using them at the gym I would suggest the Metro.fi 2's. The Super.fi 3's are large and must be worn over the ear. The UE Metro.fi 2's have great bass for this price point. They are $49.99 shipped from Amazon.

Why does it say "Preorder item?"
Thanks though, that seems like a deal. Is the SQ on the metro.fis comparable to the super.fis?

Do you think this auction is legit?

Their english is bad but they have great feedback all with IEMS.

I wouldn't--don't fall for those traps.

I went to Fry's Electronics and I ran into these Harman-Kardon EP720 running for $50 (Normally $150) but for $30 more (Normal Retail $200) you can get the dual-phase, volume flexible EP730. Start with the EP720 and hear how you like it. You can shop Fry's online store at FRYS.com.

That's a pretty limited-time offer given the low price and the sub-low demand for Etymotic-powered earphones so I would act fast if I were you.

I had a lot of fun with my JVC FX-55s. They were very balanced and pleasant to listen to. My only beef with them? They used a J-cord.
