I second that. For earbuds, if it's not the etys (not exactly earbuds but o well), then it's gotta be the mx500s.

I own both of them (the 888s and the Nude Ex, in the form of the MDR-EX70LP). Neither model is worth its high price, IMHO. The 888s are barely any better than most of the better-performing cheap earbuds. Heck, right now I'd rather listen to the cheap $10 828s than the $80 888s. As for the U.S.-market version of the Nude EX's... Where are the mids?
