I am using schiit ragnarok/yggdrassil combo and thus far it has been wonderful with the 800....i also have the LCD-3F and the Ether and they all sound great with the combo but the 800 sounds truly wonderful

To the person who started this thread, what were your impressions of the NAD N51? I opted for the Chord 2qute.

I have the M51 and i did not buy a 2qute because i didnt like it with the hd800, or the hd600 for that mather, much prefer the M51.

I couldn't agree more with this.... even in 2017.

I run Yggy with a tube amp with HD800 athough I've heard the above combo and it's very good.

I just found out that the best DAC for HD800 is a turntable..... no kidding.
