Hey Head Fi, been lurking around here for a while, and I finally get the chance to post. I managed to scrape together $125 for a soundcard, something i've been wanting forever. So, magic head fi people, what should I get.

Bass is a must. (Don't judge. I throw lots of parties, I need the bass.)

define best? for best crappy drivers, you have the Asus. for best performance in games, you have the Creative(but the drivers are almost as lousy). for best music playback, you can get an external DAC and avoid a lot of the problems associated w/ internal soundcards

Do you mean an internal soundcard or external PCMCIA soundcard for laptops? And would you consider external DACs as a viable option for your desktop/laptop, as that would increase the potential choices available?

I feel like a total noob. I hate this feeling :p

I was looking for an internal one, but if there's a cheap DAC one, i'm up for it. But one I found doesn't look like it takes the 3.5 mil jack my sennheisers have. Do I need to purchase an adapter?
