Anyone have the Realme GT 5G? How is the audio with the headphone jack?
I would like to buy a phone with really good audio (from headphone) and a good battery. My budget is about 400 euro.
Thanks to everyone

Cant you like order from aliexpress? If not well thats unfortunate. Maybe you should consider for the dongle dac option instead. The only recent smartphone released in this year with technically good dac is the new rog from asus.

Go for Xperia 1ii. I actually like the sound out of Xperia better then V60. It's also just a better phone overall. I have re-purchases Xperia and use it as my main phone replacing Samsung S21U.
V60 ist actually available in Germany from eBay. I tested it again but ended up sending back. I was not happy with it as a phone and it doesn't make sense to have a second phone just for music, I would rather go with specialized DAP.

It's pretty good, a/b with iPhone with bluetooth headphones and I find the iPhone a bit warmer and smoother, the Xperia clearer, louder.
Wired I don't think it's anything special. My PC Asus motherboard outlet gets significantly louder and sounds more engaging. I prefer the Xperia 1 ii to my iPod touch though.
Add a dragonfly Red/Cobalt to any smartphone and it'll blow the socks off the Xperia 1 ii. If someone wants SQ, theyd be much better off just doing that actually, as the dragonfly integrates so easily with the dragon tail its basically an unnoticeable accessory. A crap android phone with a Cobalt >> V60/1ii
Note: "Recommended" is based on my preference only.
- From 2013-2015, I use UE900 as reference.
- 2016-2017 I use 1964 U12 + Brimar Cable as reference.
- 2018 onward, I use Fitear 335DWSR + custom cable (VK) Always take this list with a grain of salt.
Remember, you have no need to believe my opinion will be same as yours. You always have your own preference and ears to believe in yourself.
Note2: Price Range is just approximate number and might vary in different countries. For some devices, it is based on second hand price because I can't find the whole new one ever.
Inconvenient Truth
The best way to enjoy real and pure music is from Stock music player because it is the only way that software engineer can bypass android’s 48kHz sampling rate limitation and let you enjoy native sampling rate when 44.1KHz is using 22MHz clock and 48kHz or 96kHz are using 24MHz clock with no sampling rate converter. So it is the true sound that company proudly gives to you.
Good News: Neutron is supporting bit-perfect playback for most Hi-Res android device. For those who own ESS, AKM chip based smartphone and love Neutron music player's simple UI with great Network Playing Functionality.

Anybody has an opinion on the Samsung Galazy S20+?
My LG V10 has died, and i was looking for a replacement. Both of my first options seem difficult to find new (at least here in Italy), namely, the V30+ and the G8X ThinQ. I'm afraid of buying used or refurbished because of burn in or shortened battery life. Some US sellers ship in Italy but i'm afraid of custom fees (got slapped by an efty one when i orderered a Schiit amp from the US a few years ago, not sure i want to go through that again).
The Samsung Galazy S20+ has the advantage of having decent IEMs out of the box, which will save me from having to buy a new pair (since mine broke as well), and i can also bind the phone on my monthly Vodafone bill so i don't have to pay it all upfront. The only question is whether the internal DAC is as good as any of those LG phones. I mean i used to be able to drive my Sennheiser HD600 with my V10 without external amp. I thought that was pretty damn good. Not sure if i can do the same with the Sony.
