I need new headphones for under $100 and Sennheiser's known for good sound quality

I've been looking at the HD 215 & HD 203
Had seen some mixed reviews about them
BTW I mostly listen to Acoustic stuff and the others are pretty much POP
Mids are important

If you are looking for fullsized the HD428 is an option.

the HD280 pro are retailing in amazon for US$ 99
the Shure's SHR440 are for US$ 88 also, as far I can tell, a good headphone also.
I got my Audio-technica ATH-A700 for just above US$ 100, and there is also an AD700 for US$ 108 there

I also had the HD201, it was a good US$ 20 phone, don't know about the others you comented.

An important thing, since your budget is clear, what kind of music you like to hear?

Try making a comprehensive list of genders/samples so it's possible to recomend something close to what you desire.

In that price range (and assuming isolation is not a huge concern), I'd look at an AKG K240 studio...the 240 were built for sweet mids.  I don't like any of Sennheiser's offerings at that price point for acoustic or pop. The 518 is the closest Senn I would go with at $130, but even it, I don't really recommend over the K240.

If you MUST have Sennheiser or need isolation and can't spend more than $100, the 438 or 448 (439/449 now, I guess, same thing) (on sale) would be the place to look, (or the Shure 440) but I found them to be a bit hollow sounding, and do not recommend them over the K240 either.

Sennheiser has a few good headphones and a plethora of bad ones. Don't buy based on name.

As far as I'm concerned, Sennheiser under $100 is not worth it. I've tried a few and they're just cheap toys filling market slots.

For good headphones under $100, I would suggest you look at some other options:

SR850
HD681
SRH440
SE-A1000
HARX700
HTF890
SR60i
A700
TAD400
K240

*Bolded means I would recommend those the most.

Very best,

HD449 if you can find them for <$100. I got mine for $89 from Newegg with a promo code a few weeks ago. Watch for promos.

HD 419 $20 shipped from Dakmart (might want to use a 1-time credit card code when ordering though)

I have the HD 448 and I would like them if my big dumbo ears fit inside them. :*(

No, that guy couldn't be more wrong.  The HD428 and HD280Pro are fantastic headphones.  If you want more...portable, casual headphones with a good bass response, go for the 428, if you want the more analytical sound, industrial construction, etc go with the 280.  BEWARE, the 280 bring out flaws in recordings and sound meh off of an iPod.  Sennheiser makes fantastic offerings at every price range.  Surprised someone hasn't said the M50 yet.  I have the SR60i and prefer the two Senns I mentioned.

To each their own, I suppose. The 280 pro was entirely unlistenable to me. Muddy, dank, boomy bass, uncomfortable... blech. The M50 would be ok (though is usually about $50 too expensive for the OP's stated budget), but only if you need isolation and didn't like the Shure 440. The AKG K240 is still my #1 recommendation for a good all-around can with unbeatable mids in this price range.
