Hey! I was wondering if anyone knew which is the best recording of the immortal rock song "Hocus Pocus." I already have Moving Waves on LP, but I would like a CD version of the song. Thanks!

I didn't know this was even released on CD, so colour me interested as well. The only times I get to hear it (beyond a vinyl rip to HORRIBLE quality MP3), is on the local classic rock station's "Psychedelic Sunday", and even then, only ever during their vinyl hour.

It's on their remastered "Best Of" album. Whether or not it's the best version, I don't know. I actually don't know if there are any other CD versions of the song besides the one on that album.

Since you already have Moving Waves, why not try the live version. I've loved it more than the original for some time now. It's faster and way more intense. From the Live at the Rainbow CD:
