I canceled the order for the MX500 and got the KSC-75 instead. I hope I don't regret it.

I now have two pairs of 75s, one with volume control and one without and I can say I cant tell a difference in sound quality between them. What I have noticed is that the ear clips on the standard 75s felt much better than the car clips on the volume control model even though as far as I can tell they're the same. I'm scared to bend or flex them too much.

There are different versions of the KSC75? I ordered mine from mwave (cheapest price with pricegrabber), will I get the one without a volume control?

According to MWave's website: Quote:

Includes a straight dual-entry four-foot cord, and a L-shaped gold-flashed 3.5mm (1/8") plug.

Looks like these are the one's without the volume control.
