At that price point you can't beat the FiiO E11. It had no problem powering my friends DT 880 250 Ohm cans.

Depends, JDS Labs Cmoy with the OPA2227 is also a valid choice.

im looking to get a pair of the dt770's myself. i already have an e7 though. will that do the trick?
