Hey Everyone

I'm considering using a PCDP as a transport into some portable DAC into a META42 and finally into some HD600's.

What models out there have proven to be good as transports? They obviously need a digital out. What models offer the lowest jitter? I know the Optimus is an excellent transport, but they're getting harder and harder to find.

I was thinking of a modded Art DI/O for the DAC. Anyone know if you can somehow convert this thing to use with a battery pack?

Thanks for any input!!

If you check the Diomods group at Yahoo, I believe that some people there have tried battery power.

As far as transport, I'm evaluating my portables, and will post when I actually think I've got a handle on it. The ones I have with digital outputs are the CD3400, the Sony D-303, and the Kenwood DPC-72 (The Optimus and Kenwood are coax, and the Sony is optical out).
