Hey guys, heard about this site from a friend. I was told if im looking for headphones, this is the place to be. 
 
So... Im looking for the best headphones for around $200. Can go a little over $200 if its worth it. What i mean by "best" is sound quality. Im not too interested in looks. 
 
If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it very much!

Wow - that question is almost as bad as walking into a bar full of drunks and asking who has the best girlfriend.  A brawl waiting to happen.  You will get lots of responses to this but I'll start it off with SoundMagic HP100 for closed and maybe AKG Q701 for opens.

V-moda M-80, grado 225i (may be too bright based on preference), Sony MDR-1R, or Shure SRH840.
 
personally i would lean more towards the V-moda or Shure but it comes down to personal preference. Especially for the grado 225i

ok thanks guys. Checking them out now. From my own personal research i came across the Audio Technica ATH-WS99 and the UE 6000. Can i get some opinions on those?

Yeah, go with the ATH WS99! Great at $200.
