Budget is $120 and want them to be easily driven and open back, full size and new.  Is there a model that stands out as better in this price range?

Sennheiser + open back + easily driven, what do you expect ?
Not much choice, maybe you could find an old hd595 (although I'm not sure which is better).
But why absolutely Sennheiser, meh.

I'd suggest you edit title then; or open a new thread.
If you don't insist for closed , the koss dj100  looks tempting as it was described as "budget king"
by tdockweiler.

Anyways, it's boring to see every newcomers asking for a mid-range sennheiser open headphone as:
1) it might not match everyone's tastes. It's not for techno for instance.
2) price has been raised up a lot,  especially for senn headphones. I don't want  price to raise indefinitely just because crowds buy blindly a particular brand.

For some reason, Grado is being left out. The SR80i for $99 is certainly a contender OR the SR60i ($79) with an extra set of "bowl" pads ($20). They come with "comfie" pads which are flat. The bowls move the driver away from the ear, changing the "image".

Thanks. I always considered the SR80i's but I thought they were too small and sat on my ear instead of enveloping it.
