Best OPAMP upgrade for the Matrix M-Stage

There has been much written about opamp upgrades for the M Stage. Here is the one I settled on and found to be the best:

I no longer use my M Stage much, but when I did that opamp set worked wonders.

TY for sharing this info.  However, I do have a question...  What is the difference between the one your link shows on soic & another that is listed on dip?

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2-pcs-LME49710HA-Adaptor-/171079253279?

Oh, also do you know if I need SAE or Metric Allen Key to remove the top two Hex Screws from the front cover?

This is my first headphone amp, So I am trying to get my ducks all in a row before I actually do anything.

The one you listed won't work as it require two for a set. The one I posted works in the M Stage which has only one socket. It is very easy to swap out if you ever want to. I only posted it because I had a very good experience with it. The quality of the workmanship on the unit I posted is even better than it looks in the photo.

Ahhh....  TY.

I would guess, that being on an adaptor makes it easier to swap out for comparisons sake.  Say I had both the LME49710 & OPA627AP.

The LM4562 is easy to swap with the stock Op Amp, they have the same form factor, an 8 pin IC package! :D
