Hi guys,

Just recived my Linlai E-6sn7s from GF. One of the tube has cracks and possibly some moisture build up inside. The cracked one has white kind of coating and there is a small broken piece of glass inside.I suspected this would not work and my fear was confirmed after i put it in the amp. The other one has black coating and works fine. I tested the tubes. Only one channel is working.

I have sent an email to Rachel. Do you think she will honor the warranty?

So far no reply. I am a bit worried.

Any after sales experience with Grantfidelity?

I m not worried about replacement, but i was not happy about the quality of linlai tubes. The glass is thin compared so many other tubes i ordered. The glass is really really fragile. even psvane tubes 6sn7 are well built.

Also for their flagship tubes the elite series , linlai does not even give a proper box with foam. For the price of elites i expected them to come in a nice box with foam. But no.

I m not sure if the replacement tubes will survive the shipping.

The Apos ray 6sn7 come in a nice box with foam and for the similarly price linilai elite 6sn7 come in bubble wrap.

At this point i m not sure i will be to ever see how linlai 6sn7 perform.

So finally i got a refund from grant fidelity. Which is a nice thing.

Now GF claims their packaging and shipping is good and inspite of that tubes got damaged. This only mean linlai tubes are of poor quality and you can tell. They are the only tubes where i found a broken piece inside the tube. I have never seen this kind of thing in any other tubes.

Secondly , these FLAGSHIP elite linlai tubes do not even come in a proper box and this is what bothers me the most. knowing very well that your tubes are fragile and delicate you would think to pack them a nice proper box with foam so as to minimise any kind of damage during shipping, but no they are just not bothered.

I just don't they are up to the mark. Even PSVanes come in a proper box.

The SELECT tubes came in a very nice box. Apos really know how to pack a tube. The Linlai company just doesn't care about packaging at all and due to that the customers will suffer.

Lesson learned : Never buy Linlai tubes.

I recently took a shot on a pair of these for my preamp. They sound pretty good, but one of them is quite noisy (tube hiss loud enough that I can hear it from my listening chair). Kind of frustrating for how expensive these are; and for the fact that they're supposed to screened, hand selected, etc.
