Best MPD Setup

For  information, I've seen that a XMOS user has managed to weld a coax connector to the PCB, see here.

There is also a very interesting USB Audio Class 2 card, based on XMOS chipsetn called Edel USB to I2S/SPDIF produced by ABC PCB thas has full galvanic isolation and a flex connector that accepts BNC or RCA. More information here.

Thecus N2100 + mpd here.

Since I dont resample anything, I've never seen > 15% cpu usage. MPD also works fine on a 266mhz arm NSLU2.

No point having a big power hungry machine to do the job of playing a few flac files.

Hi guys, I'm interested in running MPD in a Pogoplug. My OS of choice is Debian, but I'm open to try Arch Linux. Any ideas?

http://www.squeezeplug.eu/ Comes with MPD support, it should be pretty much work out the box and save you configuring your own distro.

Do you own a pogo plug already? If not I'd probably go for a rasberry pi + cheap ebay case.

Thanks for your suggestion king756!!! I already own a Pogoplug and will try Squeezeplug or VAMP (from Vortexbox project). The media server is a Seagate GoFlex Net running Debian.
