There are no counterfeits of products from smaller manufacturers like Fischer or Brainwavz/Visang...

haha yea i agree. Bought some fake dre beats once real cheap and they were more than satisfactory for what they were worth.

Never heard of fake Yuins. They do use generic housings so I suppose it wouldn't be impossible but I'd say the likelihood is low.

I think if you can stretch the budget by like $10 you can get the IE7's last time razordog had them on sale for $99 which imo are a bargain! I don't see the klipsch, or any of those others rivalling the IE7, haven't heard the brainwavz though heard the S4s and I can tell you my IE7's sounded MUCH better, better bass quality, better mids, better highs, was just better.

try to consider Shure SE215, well, its $9 more than your budget, but its a very good earphone, bassy but still balanced, and good staging with good instrument separation...
