Hi, I could use some help choosing a good set. I've been looking at brands such as Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Shure, Monster, and Harman Kardon (AE's). I'm kinda new to all this and to be honest I'm not really sure what I'm looking at in terms of the specifications, but I'm looking for a pair with ample bass and great quality sound. Whats the best of those between $100-$150.

Eph100 fit the bill with avery full sound and good amount of thump in the bass. the tdk look interesting but if they are like my rock it r50s then they may lack some thicker bass that the op seems to want.

BA200 or X10, for me I like them both the same.  The X10 has better bass and more crisp sounding highs because the BA200's high are very laid back plus both a mid-forward and the X10's got an above average soundstage.  The BA200 isolates vocals very well and has a more spacious soundstage and there mids are just a bit better over all compared to the X10.  Both are excellent IEM so either one would be a good choice.

Hi. What type of music do you listen to?

It's mostly Hard Rock/Heavy Metal with quite alot of bass, but I don't want the bass to be overpowering nor too soft.

In that case, go for the Logitech UE700 or Vsonic GR07. Also if you can find a Sony EX600, that would work great too.

If the OP wants bass the RE262 wont be that good of a choice as they're rather bass light.  I still think the X10 would be a really good choice but so would the GR07 and both have "ample bass" as you say.  I've just been really liking the X10, its a great little IEM and I mean little also they fit great and are very comfortable as well.

The BA200 has pretty good bass, I know its not huge or anything but if you have an amp or even EQ the bass up they can sound nice and punchy with a good amount of depth.
