Hello.... i'm totally newbie and just enter into this world....... for now my listening station is: Denon DCD-700AE, Cute Beyond, Grado SR-225, Alessandro MS-1 and MS-Pro (i'm not rich, just getting insane with this stuff)

It sound quiet good, but i'm looking for better head-amp to maybe revealed a "true sound and capability" of MS-Pro.

Can anybody suggest what is a better option for range budget $300, $400, and $500 ?

I just use it at home so non-battere operated is better.

I'm think to buy Musical Fidelity X-can-V3 or Meier Corda Aria, maybe anybody can offer better option for best synergy with Alessandro/Grado?

ps: my genre of music is 70% jazz, 10% rock, 10% classic, 10% pop

thank's for any suggestion and help from other

I have the MS-PRO & I have tried these amps -

TMS T200 (tube) - I liked it a lot, especially after finding nice tubes.

Corda Aria - Never really like it. Not detailed enough & maybe too warm with my DAC-AH

Grado RA-1 - I liked the detail at first but eventually felt it was just too bright (I think the impression of detail comes from the brightness).

I know have a Talisman T-3H & it's fantastic. Detailed & rich.

I am certainly no expert but these are my very in-experienced impressions.

I have and the X-Can V3 (or V2) drive my RS-1 great with lots of detail and clarity.

I am still confused, how's actually portable headamp performed against home headamp in a same price range? I'm actually preferred home headamp because i just use it at my room.

X-Can V3 already in my mind coz it's available to buy here, but actually i'm looking for another headamp who's sound more dark (better bass n mid) coz my MS-Pro hear a bit harsh in high. (or that a bit harsh high maybe come from Cute beyond?)

Xin Reference is cross in my mind too. how it's performed compare to X-Can V3?

Can it better than X-Can V3? ......maybe?

How about the Heed CanAmp? I haven't finished the thread yet (have covered only the first 26 pages). It was $340 and good. Anything happened then?
