Hey,

I'm looking for the best MP3 player that will allow me to have my entire music library with me. Currently, I have an iPod Classic 160GB (latest generation), and I want to know if there is anything better out there in terms of SQ that has a capacity of at least 160GB.

Thanks.

You can always get a 240gb 5th gen Ipod and either have it Imodded by Vinnie or diy mod. You can also just wait and see if apple increases the capacity of the classic sometime this spring or summer.

^Archos A5IT 500GB indeed. Plus the USB host function, you can buy a 1.5TB external hard disk and connect it. Also bring car batteries. Or a gas-powered genny. On a small cart.

Yeah the ipad was quite a letdown. If the archos had a true line out or optical out i would have already bought one. Sadly from what ive heard the SQ form the headphone out isnt exactly great.

I've done some research, and I've decided to just wait until a higher capacity iPod comes out. The current DAPs with large capacity are too big to fit in my jeans pocket, and I need something portable. The 240GB iPod mod is 230$...I don't think it's worth it.

A higher capacity Ipod will run you more, the current 160gb classic is $230.00 so $230 for 240gb is a deal to me if you look at what apple is charging for 160gb new.
