I've been looking for a good pair of headphones recently and have stumbled across this forums, i have seen a lot of criticism towards beats by dre and similar headphones which focus on marketing where people say that these headphones aren't worth the price, so I was wondering if there were any bass heavy good quality headphones withing the price range mentioned in the title. I have seen a few, but thought I would sign up here and find the opinion of people whom would know just to make sure.

Bass heavy, and a bit better than beats would be the Sony XB-500 but they aren't of the best quality nor the JVC Xtreme Xplosives but the JVCs are more rugged looking and the Sonys are more comfortable in the long listening period.

Ultrasone is kind of like if Beats were redesigned to be good. I haven't heard this particular model, but sound quality is going to be at least a step above the Beats Solo.

Numark Red Wave. 70 bucks. Having tested these alongside of the entire Beats By Dre lineup, I honestly can tell you that these can deliver as much bass as the Pros and Solos. They don't quite meet the levels of bass that the Studios, but close. But that's a good thing. The Studios are way too bass heavy, too muddy, you can't hear all of the music the right way. The Red Waves are much more clear sounding, while still delivering a very hard hitting bass. If that's not enough bass, the Sony XB500 is the ultimate bass master under 100 bucks. It's not the clearest sounding pair of cans, but it smokes the bass from the Studios. Like, leaves the Studio in the dust. However, you sacrifice some sound quality in the pursuit of bass with these. Still, if you are just looking for bass, look no further than the XB500, but if you are looking for something along the lines of the Solos or Pros, go with the Numark Red Wave.

Hope this helps! -BiggBenn

Hey! I'm TheMrVodun13, and I was looking for headphones similar to beats within a reasonable price range, and I think I found the perfect two:

Mine, which I'm currently using: Genipu Headphones (http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Foldable-Super-Bass-Stereo-Headphones-Headsets-For-mp3-mp4-PC-GENIPU-8803-W-/380594353478?pt=US_Headphones&hash=item589d30f546)

Or the Super Bass headphones: (http://www.ebay.com/itm/221175872034)

Each brand comes in Black, Red, White, and Purple. Hope this helped you out! Peace!
