are any of those beyers you listed similiar in design to the dt880/770/990? I would look for any beyers in your price range similiar to those 3, comfort wise I haven't tried better than beyer.

AFAIK it's a decent phone. The search function is your friend at Head-Fi

.

For me there's no such thing as un-modern sound

. The best pair of phones I have are 20+yrs old Beyerdynamics. They beat all my 'modern' cans. Don't fall for publicity hyping new things over old ones. Quality has little to do with either.

If you can swing a little over 100, you might hunt for a used pair of K501's. Some might argue with their neutrality, but very comfortable.

Where in sweden can you find a K501 for 100? They cost $350 here!

The DT880 is also way over budget. I think the OP should settle for something less if buying local, given the prices in Europe. Ebay or the FS forum here offer other alternatives, but the OP will then have to buy over the net and most probably from abroad.

I just read several favourable reviews of the ATH AD700s. They're supposed to be neutral. But yea, the 701s are the standard go-tos for studio monitoring needs, so they should be really neutral too.
