My SR60's sounded very clear, but too weak for me. I like more bass as well. And I found them uncomfortable with the stock comfy pads. I would think the bowls would be better.
Dakmart's the only one selling used I think. The second lowest price there included the $30 rebate you get for sending in old headphones when you buy the HD555.
It seems that the sennheiser 555/280's are good. Also, how are they comfort wise though. These headphones could be the ones I get since people tell me you either love the grados or hate them since they can be uncomfortable.
Denon AH-D1001 or Creative Aurvana Live! - same design, different brand. If not - Grado SR60 or Alessandro MS1 which I actually don't know. I wouldn't choose neither the HD555's nor the SR80's over any headphones I mentioned primarily.
