I am wondering what the best headphones are for under $100.  I was looking at the V-MODA Crossfade LP2 Ltd Ed Over-Ear Headphones, which at times appeared for a good deal, however, i have heard mixed things about these headphones.  What are your people's recommendations?

To be honest, i have been without speakers or headphones since my Audio Technica m30's broke about 2 years ago.  i have been using my dad's laptop to listen to music or watch videos online (this is the sound that comes from the speakers inside the laptop, not speakers that you connect.  Probably not very nice in terms of sound quality, but i can at least hear what people are saying).  i hope to listen to stuff like rock, some of the old stuff from around 2000's, linkin park, the offspring, eminem, acdc, guns and roses,  maybe watch japanese anime and listen to the show with headphones, maybe watch TV shows online through sites like hulu.com, crunchyroll.com, etc.

I've read mixed reviews about the V-MODA Crossfade LP2 Ltd Ed Over-Ear Headphones .  Some say the bass is too much, and that everything else is actually not that good.  Others have said if you burn them in for around 24 hours, it gets much better.  So I've decided to get your guy's advice here also.  I may have said those headphones i just talked about were for around $100 2 times last week.

Hi,

You should consider Takstar Pro 80 + HM5 Pads!

You can read a lot and ask about them here:

Best Luck!

By the way, you can find the Kingston HyperX Cloud On offer at 65$ (Cheaper than the pro 80) They're the same Pro 80 with Mic and they come with a lot of accessories and also a good presentation but not better than the Pro 80.

I was hoping to get good information on comparisons between the -MODA Crossfade LP2 Ltd Ed Over-Ear Headphones, the Audio Technica m40x, and the Tackstar Pro80.  Also, the Takstar Pro80 have similar names on amazon.com, but seem different:

the first 3 ones show up that way.  Are they the same?
