Hello Everyone,
 
I am currently looking for a pair of headphones (open-back) for around 300? Currently I am really interested in the HiFiMAN HE-400 due to it's rave reviews however, I am wondering if i can do better. My genre of music is Rock/Indie/Electronic. Any suggestions? Also, I am willing to stretch my budget and I am also interested in the HD 600. I am wondering if they are significantly worth the extra $100 I would have to spend? Any suggestions?

The HD600/650s are worth every penny. I also liked the much cheaper dt880, but their treble was very fatigueing (at least to my ears).

Do you think it's better off to just wait for the sens? Do they outperform the he-400 in many ways?

HD 650's bass would be more significant than HD 600 in electronic music, but for the price HE-400 is hard not to be recommended.
