I'm looking for a earbud that will be able to block out the surroundings such as my housemates and tv when studying and provide comfort for 3 hours at a time while producing decent sound of course. Not looking to spend more than 50 dollars.

You are looking for a pair of IEM, not earbud. For $50, I will get a pair of Super.fi 3 from RadioShack.

I agree. $50 bucks won't get you much.

i own the super.fi 3's got them from radioshack for 60$
and they have quality sound and they isolate very well.
but IEM are a thing to get use to, as they go into the canal
and not just pop into your ear.

Thanks for the advice, just headed to radioshack today and picked up a pair. listening to four season right now (classical) and it has great clarity. Still trying to figure out the ear pieces but i'll figure it out eventually.
