closed, portable, sexy and sound good.

I'd have a pair by now, but I'm waiting for exchange rates to suck less, and find the US money I put in a safe place, and then forgot about.

Haha. You sound like my dad. He's always hiding stuff so no one
finds it and then even he can't find it

I still haven't got my bday
present.... :p

As far as headphone buying goes, I'm going to go around in town
this week and try the most headphones possible and compare
comfort/sound (even though I don't have the best audio reference).
I'll come back and post what I thought of all the headphone's I've
tried and then see what I should do.. I'll post prices too, just to
show how much CAD sucks and how bad I'd be ripped off if I
bought from here :p

I am just going to throw out there that there are two on line retailers that support and sponsor Head-Fi:

HeadRoom

and

Meier Audio

While you can probably find certain headphones for a few bucks less, the customer service these two companies provide is excellent. However neither of them sell any Sony products.

Note on Ebay:

If you go this route, always always ALWAYS be sure to check out your seller's (or buyer's) feedback rating and profile. Don't just look at the numbers -- go through and read the comments that people have left and especially the negative comments (if there are any). Some comments will be ravingly good, but it's the bad comments that can reveal a potential flake (and in some cases, some negative comments are unjustly given, too). Be wary of sellers with 0 feedback.

I've had very good service from www.fullcompass.com. Got the Senn 497s refurbished for $33 and the HD 580s for $157. Polite and helpful sales personnel. Also Audioadviser is excellent for service. I checkout their clearance items regularly where I got X-can v2 for $230.

Also Bludio's for half off!
