These are precision instruments. They're not going to withstand a nuclear blast but with proper care, they're going to last for a really long time.



My 50 plus yr old NAGRA DT48S are still alive.. Minus the creaks..

Yes. I have two.. One actually feels like a torture type contraption when you put it on your head.. You know you are wearing somthing ancient.. Also very heavy compared to modern headphones..

My Pioneer Monitor 10 is built like a tank. The only parts that make noise are the ear cup joints and only the plastic parts will break.

The Sony MDR V6 is pretty sturdy too but the cable behind the ear cups can damage due to the design of the ear cup holders. Too bad about the pleather.
