To be quite honest i do understand a OPAMP(by that it amplifies a signal), but what exactly do the buffer do since it is 1:1 on the signal, is it just a very fast chip(compared to a OPAMP?) to handle all the dynamics music have, or am i totally lost

Q1/Q2 and R10 are to bias the OPAMP into Class-A, not the buffer.

Both amplify the signal, the opamp is used for Voltage gain (amplification in volume), the buffer is used for Current gain (simply "ability to drive headphones").
