What do you think is the best Rockin' amp for the SR 225s under 75$ ?

For the value?

I've been looking at possibly getting a simple cmoy, a47 (don't know where to find), or possibly a PA2V2...

Opinions?

To carry the 225 as a portable? Why bother?

Ok, for one....youre selling the 225's short by using a fisherprice amp on a good headphone

For two, the 225 cant handle being dragged around as a portable. The cans will fall right off the stems.

Save and get a better amp or different portable cans.

Maybe a 2move, headsix, etc?
Anything better than a cmoy. A GoVibe Petite, MiniBox E+, .

It dont take too much to drive a 225 really, but they deserve some real quality.

I carry a Zune 30 > Portaphile V2 > IGrado. Sounds great.

There are plenty of inexpensive used portables in the for sale forums here. You can find something decent for about $100usd if you wait it out.
Maybe a Portaphile V2 for around $100-150?

I used to have the sr225 and I thought they sounded really good with my Headphonia amp. If you do a web search under Penguin amps, you'll find they have the Headstage Lyrix on sale for $89.00. It's over your budget a little though. The name was changed from Headphonia to Headstage. The same amp manufacturer sells his mint tin amps under the Penguin name and he is currently sold out, so he is offering the Lyrix at a discount.
