Actually, regular price on their website is $499, and Amazon has had it for $399 for about six months now.

1. Bifrost/Valhalla2 are great, I love mine. But haven't compared them to your other listed options so I can't speak to that.
2. Those PSB's already have their own built-in amp. R u sure u want another amp for them? They are full size but really made, I think, for mostly portable use without a separate amp...

Bifrost's AKM chip is also 32-bit but since the USB stage in Bifrost is 24-bit, it doesn't support 32/384K (Bifrost is upgradeable so maybe in the future the USB stage will be upgraded), Also, Bifrost doesn't support DSD and DXD..
 
I have the Bifrost Uber, Haven't had the time to listen to it analytically ... the price for NFB-11 is unbelievable , equivalent DAC/AMP combos from Europe or the US cost double or triple the price of the NFB-11..
