Title says it all, I'd like to know what is the best setup I could get for 500$. As a source I would use my iPhone 5 (lighting) or iPod Nano (32 pin). I want a desktop amp and dac. Also, do you have any recommandations for better source ?

Hey there,

Are you looking for separate units or are you interested in all in one units??

If you are the best bang for the buck is easily the Audio-GD 11.32 & 15.32. Both are under $300 and gives you loads of power and very nice DAC and great looks all in one package

Good Luck!

Thanks,

Personally, they should have used black  screws. Or a silver chassis. Either way, as much as I like the utilitarian chassis that does enough to camoflage the switches (so it doesn't end up looking like a Pioneer integrated amp), the lack of color coordination on the screws are really sticking out. Not enough to not buy them though, easy enough to just replace the top screws - you won't even graze the warranty sticker.
