You need to go out and buy yourself a planar headphone and you will really be taking full advantage of Gungnir + Asgard 2.

Who makes "affordable" planar headphones (less than the 2000$ Audeze  )?

In addition to the already mentioned HFM and MrS planars, Audeze has multiple models under $2000. LCD-XC, LCD-X, LCD2, and EL-8 in decreasing order of MSRP.

Don't forget the T50RP mods from ZMF, Mr. Speakers, etc.! The only planars over $2k are the LCD-3, Abyss, and HE-1000, IIRC.

Thanks all for your suggestions.

Any particular model that works better with a Schiit Gungnir and Asgard II which are "warm" compared to another setup ? I want something "fun" to listen too, with good high and bass, great soundstage...

Do the Audeze EL8 Close and Open models offer the same soundstage, the same "air" in sound ? I like to hear the detail in sound.

Do planar headphones offer better sound than "conventional" headphones ? My other choices are BeyerDynamics DT990 or T90.

I recommend a used HE400 (they go for $200 usually on eBay and classifieds section, I've even seen $185). They are my favorite go to fun headphones. If your budget allows for more, $700 can get you a used LCD2 if you look hard enough. I cannot recommend those enough.

And with your actual Bifrost and Asgard 2, which one sounds better ? :)

Some say the EL-8 are better than LCD2... True ?

I wish I could say that it depends on what you like, but no, the lcd 2 smacks the el-8 across the face with a wet gym towel
