Beoplay EX impressions thread

So just got the EX today. What am I missing? My soundscore liberty 4's sound better than these easily. I've tried different EQ presets and they don't seem to make up for the difference I hear in the Liberty 4 over the Ex. The EX sound muffled compared to the Liberty 4. I just heard so many positive things about the EX and waiting maybe too long to get them but nonetheless, they are here now. I guess I was expecting next level.

not sure what to tell you! I've never heard the liberty 4 maybe they are sleeper hits. Hopefully you can still return them!

Hi,
My set up is as follows (see attached photos)which does the trick for me 👍. Also I've got them set on noise cancelling mode with high bass. The only frustrating thing is that I've got to control the settings from my mobile not the 306? Hopefully it helps as I found them to be great 👍
Good luck 🤞

Hi, I'm sure they would. Funny enough I did have an R3 myself but its now in Vancouver with my son else I'd have tried it for you. The other thing to know is that I can't control the app via the DAP but via my Nothing 1 phone. Therefore you should be fine on the Hiby. Great earbuds cheers and good luck

Hello All. I have also a pair of Beocom EX. Soundwise they should be like Beoplay according to B&O. Really very pelased with the SQ. Using them as a PC headest as they are supposed to be used is not yet very satisfactory as I have some connetion issues. I am in contact with B&O support to try and resolve. They are very supportive.
My questions for the group:
- any ear tips recommendations?
- any EQ settings recommendations? I am looking at the FR and try to manually adjust to a more reference sound using this settings having some decent results.

Any better suggestions?

Thanks to all!

I've been using mine for 3-4 months now and they are my go to pair. My other tws include Sennheiser momentum 2s, Beoplay EQs, PI7s. I haven't used the Sony so I can't speak to them.

I've been using them with spin fit tips and get really good fit and isolation with them. The sound quality is pretty good. My reference pair for good audio quality are my blessing 2 with my Hiby 6. Not at all God tier but solid. In comparison to those I find these enjoyable and it doesn't make make me miss my Blessings all too much. I think as far as true wireless earbuds go it is a pretty reasonable and satisfying sound profile and experience. I'm normally somewhat sensitive to high frequency sibilance my PX7s are very hard for me to enjoy for that reason and even the Mark Levinson which I overall really love I sometimes will have issues with that aspect. I have not had that issue with the EXs unlike some reviewers mentioning it here so I'm very surprised by that comment.

The biggest problem with them would be their active noise cancellation. It does okay with low frequency noises for example in my office it drones out air conditioning with only a modest change in sound. However it is terrible with wind noises and the mics actually amplify the wind noise.

Overall though I've enjoyed them enough that they are my defacto true wireless earbuds. Compared to all the others they are very very comfortable and lightweight.
Hello Benesyed and thanks for your post. Do you have any specific advice for eartips? I see you mention spin fit. What model and what result did you get compared to the stock ones if I can ask? Did you try any other tips? Thanks a lot!

For my ears, the Spinfit 360 works very well with the EX and gives a nice detailed soundstage with a wonderfull bass. (not very good for ANC, though)
