Currently im running a ESI Juli@ which in turn runs a cans of Sony MDR-7506 with a y-cable (2X TRS to a headphone jack 6.5mm TRS)

Recently some ppl told me that this setup won't give me any accurate sound, low output and whatever. While the soundcard can run them it won't run them at their optimum peak. I also have a pair of Sennheiser HD25 and Shure 535's.

Now im uncertain i need a desktop amp or a portable but i'll try to post in this section here anyway.

Since my soundcard is rather budget minded, i bought it some years ago at 150 dollah i dont feel throwing out more money than 250 dollar at most. There are certainly some good priceworthy amps out there who would do more than justice for my cans.

Problem is that i don't know how to connect the amp from the soundcrd. Inputs of amps differs i would guess. The soundcard has two balanced mono outs L and R channel but i guess i just use a y-cable of some sort?

And which amp would you guys recommend for my setup?

Thanks in advance!
