Let's get ready for the official 2007 BC Head-Fi Meet! This year, it'll be happening on Nov 4th, 2007, from 12 - 5 pm at Kerrisdale Community Center in sunny (ha!) Vancouver, BC. We have a room that'll fit roughly 25 people and all their gear, so I hope we get that many attending!

It would be greatly appreciated if people could donate $10 as a cover fee for the food, drinks, and room cost - the room is costing me quite a bit right now.

Here's the rules and regulations, cribbed from last year's Official Meet.

Also 99%, unless a biz trip to Vegas the following week gets pushed up on priority. I don't expect that though.

I'll bring the following:

Cans: Beyer DT-770 Pro/80 (stock) and K81DJ. Amps: mini3 and the TPA6120 amp I designed. Sources: Zune, maybe an AlienDAC, and if I'm feeling frisky maybe my Opus (but it'll be uncased, so I'm a bit hesitant - will update next week).

I don't really have any decent interconnects right now. If anyone wants to try out some of my gear, you probably don't want to use my freebie ICs

If I can find some decent mini jacks around here I'll make a couple, but I've had a hard time finding them - anyone got some suggestions for a shop? I don't want to order from MarkerTek again, that was a pain in the ass...

Out of curiosity, why is photo ID required? It's not like this is going to be a legal drinking age only event or anything is it?

I'd like to come by, but I'd prefer to keep my fee to a toonie donation and not touch the food or gear until I see if there's enough stuff going on to justify investing my whole entertainment budget for the month =/

Well, last year we tried to get a sign-in going, but it wasn't very successful. I forgot to take that off when I put up the new sign.

All I'm going to say is - watch your gear. Stuff has gone missing before, but mark everything and try and keep everything in your corner. Watch out especially for the small pieces - DAPs, IEM's - because they can be hidden easily.

There's going to be quite a bit going on - more people will be signing up and bringing gear, if I'm not wrong. If the turnout is half as good as the December mini-meet... oh boy!

I'm down! I'll bring my audio-technica w2002 and ew9. Dunno about the DAC1 and Dynahi, depends if I can bum a lift from a friend. I'll try and drag my kid sister and the akg k701's i bought her. Woot! I guess if I'll bring my Oritek x-1's for kicks to dare and compare... they're well reviewed and should fit in the w2002 case even if i can't score a lift.

Dylan, where are you at? I might be able to give you a ride - even if it's just because I want to hear the W2002's again.

Plus, that Dynahi has been haunting me for a while - I want to listen to either that or a B22, and the B22 doesn't seem likely to happen.
