I got the 250 ohms version and compared to the M50s the M50s had more bass. I'm using the E07k with both of them. Is this normal? I heard the 80 ohms version is supposed to have a ton of bass, how do they compare to the M50s?

The DT770 Pro 80-Ohm has very slightly more bass then the DT770 Pro 250-Ohm.
(Not worth the hassle of switching the 250-Ohm for the 80-Ohm)
I would assume the DT770 Pro 250-Ohm would have better over all sound quality, compared to the ATH-M50s?

Yeah I prefer the DT770s over the M50s. One of the reasons why I went with the 250 version over 80 was because of the lower bass for gaming. I was just wondering if the M50s were supposed to have more bass and how the bass compared among the 3 headphones because these are the first headphones I've bought used and I was a bit paranoid about defectives.

What exactly do you plug your headphones into?

I have it plugged into the E07k and the E07k is connected to my PC through USB.

Have you tried using Foobar2000 to play audio files?

No I just iTunes. Is there something special about Foobar?

I like the sound quality of Foobar2000, on my Win 8 PC
But your a Mac user, guess iTunes works well.
