Hey guys. This is my first thread and yes I'm a newbie. I want to get a replacement or an upgrade over my V-Moda LP as the bass is too muddy for me. I also have the M50 but the bass isn't enough for me. I'm listening to mostly EDM and trance. I'll be listening from my laptop and my HTC One. I have the Govibe mini box and Govibe mini uDAC. Yes I know they're pretty cheap and perhaps lousy but I'm not willing to pay much for an amp. Here's some headphones I'm looking at atm.
Ue6000
V-Moda M-100 (I know they are above 250$ but I'm willing to pay if they're worth it)
Beyerdynamic Dt770.

I heard about the Ultrasones but they're not really available in my country. And I prefer not to deal with Amazon and such. Hoping for good responses. Thanks

I think the DT770s are a step up over the M50s in overall SQ and comfort.

The M100s are so worth it it's not even funny. I still haven't found an "upgrade" pair that's under $900.

DJ headphones. I can recommend a few since I mix. Those things are made for powerful and clean bass. They're also built like tanks.
 
ATH Pro 700, Xone X53, DNHP1000, HDJ 2000, TMA-1, HD-25-1 II, NS 900, RPDH1250 or RPDH1200.
 
They all have different pros and cons. Choose the one you like and I'll tell you more about it.

Gonna drop by my local audiophile store soon to try out the M-100. How bout the Ue6000? Heard they have quite the bass. I like the Hdj2000 but what about the Hdj1500? What's the difference?

The DT770's are also massively overstated as a "bass headphone". I wouldn't call them one at all. They're certainly not neutral, and the bass has a wonderful boost to it, but if you're the kind of person that likes really thumping and rumbling bass you'll be left underwhelmed by them.

I would disagree. That's not necessarily true. They are just not extreme basshead headphones. LOL

HDJ 1500 and HDJ 2000 have the same sound. Differences are weight, clamping force, and wearing style. 1500 is on ear while 2000 is over ear.
 
Try the Beats Mixr if you want massive bass. They made my heart beat funny... Too bad they sounded unnatural.

Beats... Ew. I'm leaning towards the M-100 so far. Still haven't had the time to stop by the local store. Well Beyerdynamic is known to have clean and bright sound. That's why I kinda doubt they're considered basshead level. Guess I'll have to find out myself

The above poster isn't lying. The Mixrs are a great headphone for what they are. I loved mine.
